1971

Establishment of the F.W.Woolworth (Cyprus) Co Ltd, as a branch of the British chain Woolworth Plc.

 
1974

The Company operated its first department store

 
1985

NKS acquired the single Woolworth store in Nicosia

 
1987

Converted into a public company and listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange

 
 

Launch of Woolworth Apollon in Limassol

 
1992

Launch of Woolworth Olympia in Limassol

 
1995

Acquisition of the largest hypermarket in Larnaca and its conversion into Woolworth Zenon Department store

 
1996

Launch of Woolworth Kinyras in Paphos

 
 

Acquisition of ZAKO Ltd

 
1998

Refurbishment of the highest building in Cyprus (16 stories), launched as Woolworth Ledra in the center of Nicosia

 
1999

Opening of Super Home Center ( D.I.Y.) in Nicosia

Rebranding of Ermes Apollon – Limassol and Ermes Kinyras - Paphos to Debenhams Apollon and Debenhams Kinyras.

Renaming of the remaining Ermes Department Stores to Debenhams. A total of 8 department stores all over Cyprus.

 
 

Public offering of Ermes shares to the shareholders of Woolworth(Cyprus) Properties Public Ltd and to third parties

 
2007

Opening of 8 new stores at the Mall of Cyprus and the Mall of Engomi
